My projects My projects dedicated for customizing some English Atari (and Commodore)-related products. Now everyone can use those programs on Russian. As source programs are freewares, all my products also are absolutely freeware. Last days I investigated work of LVAFONT utility, which was main Russian screen and keyboard driver in the Atari world. To run old 80x-90x programs without any issue, I always tried to keep EmuTOS/MiNT Russian fonts layouts compatible with LVA with only minor cosmetic changes. But now I found, that Russian keyboard layout of LVA was based... on typewriter layout, which was implemented by LVA author in 1988 by some reason - maybe there was no PC around ;-) . I decided to rebuild Russian keyboard layout to ease text input for the end customers and made it close to PC layout. Also I fixed [C], [R] and [TM] signs in Russian 8x8 font (for middle resolution). MiNT/XaAES and EmuTOS fonts/layout were also updated. So now LVA-family of drivers will contain 3 pcs: original, slightly corrected original (couple of logical errors in keyboard layout fixed) and new, PC keyboard layout based called AvLVA. Update: In March 2019, I found some mistakes in LVA 6x6 font and made AvLVA drivers version 2. Also other involved projects (EmuTOS and MiNT/XaAES) were updated with corrected Russian fonts. Just another project - movie subtitles/audio translation Since last two years I'm making translation of subtitles/voice tracks of some movies. Started from Dutch movie "The Hell'63". Then came Danish OlsenBanden series. As we didn't find anybody to prepare Russian soundtrack, I offered myself to do this. And now all Collection was made (I made soundtracks for parts 7-14 and conty9 made final mixing). Also were translated movies "SS Martha" and "Christianshavn Ballade" with the same "golden trio". For supporters of Russian language - you can download the subs. In Audio column you can download the whole movies - and for Danish OlsenBanden there is one common link to the whole Collection. There was no sense to put just audiotracks.
Brand new projest - Atari Coldfire Project The aim of this project is to build a new Atari-clone based on Motorola Coldfire processors and make it available to the public at the lowest possible price. Update: Now making Russian version of EMUTOS. New Atari-compatible computer FireBee OS will be based on it. December 08, 2011- EMU TOS 0.8.6 was released and - for the first time - Russian version included. You can get it on official project page , and also was added to my TOS Images collection. You can look at the picture below.
April 20,2015. Today one of the oldest wishlist items - keyboard layout switch support - was added to EMUTOS in Russian version. Like in LVA-driver, which was used before, hotkeys are LeftShift+Alt, but now we don't need any additional driver ! You can see below how it looks.
XaAES is a GUI for unix-related FreeMiNT. I making Russian translation for it. Here is a project page, and below you can see how it looks.
not a Newest project - Russian PET PET - is a Commodore-family 8-bit computer, I use it with emulator called VICE. It works with various chargen-files (containing characters to be showed on the monitor). And now we have a Russian chargen file - please... Switching Cyr/Lat done by any of Shift-keys. Here is the picture about it.
May 26th, 2005. Was written and published chargen-file viewer for Windows. December 04th, 2005. New version of PETRus 1.2 can edit chargen-files. Filesizes 2048 ans 4096 bytes supported. Having some success with customizing TOS version 2.06 - you can get an image here.Please note that you have to load Russian driver LVA before using this image. Where to get it ? - Guess !!! Worked with STeem.
Update: November 18, 2010 - First time in the world - real Atari STE with Russian TOS ROM !!! Look at the picture: Note: As I found some bugs in previous version of Russian TOS, I put here corrected version. STeem customization Nowadays it's very hard to find real Atari ST computers. And to work with old lovely programs you'll need to use emulator of Atari. I can advise you STeem - the only one Atari-emulator with full MIDI-support. And Russian language file for version 3.2 is here. So,we've got the system already. And now it's time to load some neat shell, like... I made Russian resource file for best shell Atari-program - TeraDesk. You just have to copy this resource file to TeraDesk directory.
